Software upgrade – All you need to know

General Information

When will the upgrade take place?
The upgrade is planned for Tuesday 02 September. We will confirm the exact date via email and in-game messages.
Why is this upgrade happening?
We’re joining the iPoker network to take your poker experience to the next level! Get ready for cutting‑edge software, brand‑new features, fresh game formats, and tournaments with even bigger guarantees!
What are the benefits of this upgrade and new network?
You’ll enjoy a more intuitive interface, improved gameplay, access to more players and games, and exclusive promotions tailored to the new platform.

We’ll be carrying out an upgrade to the platform, which will require some scheduled downtime on the day.

Once the platform is back online, you’ll be prompted to upgrade the next time you log in:

Windows – When you launch the existing client, you’ll be offered the option to upgrade.
Mac – Our new client will be available via the Mac App Store. When you open the existing client, you’ll be redirected to the Store to complete the upgrade.
Mobile – A mandatory upgrade will be triggered automatically when you open the app.

Note: Once the download is complete, the old software will no longer be supported, and can be safely deleted once you have upgraded.

Will my screen name remain the same?
In some cases, yes. However, if your current screen name is already taken on the new platform, you’ll be asked to choose a new one during the transition.
Do I need to create a new account?
No, your existing account will work. Just log in as usual and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your upgrade.
Will I have to add my payment methods again?
No, your payment methods will remain unchanged and will be available on the new platform.
What happens to my account if I don’t upgrade?
If you choose not to upgrade, your account will become inactive. In accordance with local regulations, inactive accounts may eventually be closed.

Cash:
Your cash balance will be transferred automatically. There’s no need to withdraw and redeposit funds.
Active poker bonuses:
If you have an active bonus, it will carry over so you can continue earning the rest of your bonus on the new platform. After the upgrade, it may take a little time, but rest assured — your poker bonus will be kept.
Tournament tickets:
Sit & Go and tournament tickets won't be valid on the new platform and we will convert them into cash before the upgrade.
Tournament Euros:
Most players will receive a cash equivalent (e.g. 10 T€ becomes 10 €) before the upgrade.
Cashback:
The Cashback program is expected to end on the Sunday 31/08, just before the upgrade, with a last Cashback payment on the Monday 01/09.

Will my hand history and statistics transfer to the new platform?
You will still be able to see your old Hand History here: https://www.partypoker.es/en/poker/handhistory Your new Hand History after the upgrade will be available on the new platform.
Will the new platform have the same games and tournaments?
Yes — and even more! The new platform features an expanded selection of games and tournaments, including popular formats like Mystery Bounty. Plus, SPINS are getting a makeover: they’ll be called Twisters, with a fresh new look and feel, and new Leaderboards too!

Will the upgrade happen on mobile too?
Yes, the upgrade will be available on both Desktop and Mobile. If you play on both, you’ll need to download the new platform on all your devices.

How secure is the upgrade process?
The upgrade process is highly secure. Your personal data remains with us and is not transferred to any new provider. The software upgrade follows the highest security standards at every step.
